Welcome
At Puddle Duck Cottages we want to make everyone's stay as enjoyable as possible and are committed to providing suitable access for all our guests, whatever their individual needs. We aim to accurately describe our facilities and services to give you the confidence to book the right cottage for your specific requirements. If anyone in your group has access requirements, we welcome the opportunity to show you around before booking.
Level access
The main entrance to Puddle Duck Cottage has level access from the private parking area.
There is level access from the main entrance to: kitchen/diner, living room, and downstairs bathroom.
Access with steps
There are two steps down from the private parking area of Duckling Cottage to the main entrance.
There is level access from the main entrance to: kitchen/diner and living room.
Flooring
Both cottages are fitted with luxury vinyl tiles throughout the downstairs, minimising trip hazards.
Bedrooms
All beds throughout the cottages have non-allergic bedding.
Both cottages offer guests flexible sleeping arrangements incorporating super king or single beds.
Bathrooms
Puddle Duck Cottage has level access to a downstairs w.c. and walk in shower with one step up. Plus, an upstairs bathroom with w.c. and bath with shower over. This is located next to bedroom 2 and bedroom 3.
Duckling Cottage has an ensuite to bedroom one incorporating a walk-in shower and w.c. Plus, an additional bathroom with w.c. and bath with shower over. This is located next to bedroom 2.
Hearing
The TV has subtitles.
The smoke alarms and carbon dioxide monitors have flashing indicators.
Visual
The walls and the doors have high colour contrast.
We have information in large print.

Our plan for 2023 is to apply for the cottages to be rated by the National Accessible Scheme so we are suitable for:
- Older and less mobile guests
- Part-time wheelchair users
- Loss of hearing guests
- Visually impaired guests
